791 ANTI-TOBACCO CAMPAIGN: STREET PLAY IN ANTOP HILL

Mumbai, 3-Oct-2019:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a Street play on the issue related to smoking and chewing tobacco in Bhartiya Kamala Nagar slum in Antop Hill (Mumbai). The street play was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

The NSS group from Shree Narayana Guru College of Commerce presented the street play. The objective of the street play was to educate people on the harmful effects of tobacco and to encourage people to abstain from consuming tobacco. More than 250 children, men & women participated actively by carrying flashcards and speaking to people on this issue in the slum. Ms. Akila Ansari (Staff- DBDS) made the logistical arrangement and also proposed the vote of thanks at the end of the program.
