Ahmednagar, 6-Oct-2019: The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra is implementing Village Education Programme in 30 villages of Ahmednagar and Beed districts of Maharashtra. This project aims at strengthening the basics of the primary students and improving the quality of education thus leading to reduction in the drop outs in the schools; especially among the rural poor kids in these two districts. This project is being implemented in collaboration with Don Bosco Mission (Bonn) and funded by Kindermissionswerk (Aachen, Germany)

Fr. Rolvin D’Mello, the Executive Director of Don Bosco Development Society was very happy to visit the classes and said that “the Children are the present and future of our society hence we need to educate them well. He encouraged the holistic growth of the children through these support classes”.

Fr. George D’Abreo the Director of Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra said “A quality Education is the key to success”. Some of the parents of the children were also very happy with the progress of the children. They were of the opinion that the support classes and the various extra-curricular activities have been very instrumental in the growth of their children. They were very much grateful to BGVK for this initiative.
