798 MGL Disha Project: Financial Literacy Workshop for the Underprivileged

Mumbai, 7-Oct-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a training on ‘Savings and Investments’ for women from low income group residing in Guru Dutta Nagar slum in Mahim (West). 40 women participated in this workshop which was organized under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Ms Kavita Kamble (Staff-DBDS) welcomed the participants and resource person and outlined the agenda of the training. Mr. Dinesh Dedhia (Public Relation Inspector) from Mahim post office was the resource person for the training. The workshop focused on the saving and investment instrument of the post office. He gave information on FDs, RDs, MIS, SCSS, APY, NSS, KVP, Post Office insurance scheme, SSY etc. He further urged the participants to save money and invest smartly so that they could have good returns from the investments.
