809 MGL Disha Project: Environmental Awareness Session

Mumbai, 12-Oct-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized an ‘Environmental Awareness’ session for people residing in the Rajeev Gandhi Nagar slum in Matunga. 64 people participated in this event which was organized under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Fr. Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director- DBDS) welcomed everyone and explained the agenda and importance of the session. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer- DBDS) was the resource person for the program. The objective of this workshop was to make people aware about clean fuel like Compress Natural Gas (CNG), renewal energy resources, pollution and health hazards due to pollution. The participants asked many questions which were all answered by the resource person.

Ms. Basanti Solanki (Staff -DBDS) made the logistical arrangement for this event. The session ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Shabana Shaikh (SHG member).
