Vadodara (Gujarat), 24-Oct-2019: Don Bosco organized a ‘Spice Sale’ promotional event on the occasion of the Diwali festival for the slum women to sell the products made by them: Indian Spices. These women have undergone several trainings and follow-up trainings on making spices. Further they were also trained in costing, budgeting, branding and marketing under the ‘spice making and marketing project’ supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.v., Germany.

The commuters on the road and people from the nearby areas purchased the spices at a very competitive price. The women had a very good experience selling the spices and also made good profit on the sale. They also obtained a few orders to deliver these products at their home. Another important factor which helped these women to become successful small-scale entrepreneurs in Indian Spices – was the exposure visits that they had to other similar businesses as part of this same project.
