838 ANTI-TOBACCO CAMPAIGN: Street Play in Antop Hill

Mumbai, 2-Nov-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a Street play titled ‘Tobacco Free Mumbai’ at Chandani Agar area in Antop Hill (Mumbai). The street play was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited. 

The NSS group from Shree Narayana Guru College of Commerce, Kurla presented the street play with the objective to educate people on the harmful effects of tobacco and to abstain people from consuming tobacco. The play showed the life of a tobacco addict and how this habit proved harmful to himself and his young children. More than 250 children, men & women from the slum participated carrying flashcards and speaking to people on effects of tobacco on body and mind. Ms. Akila Ansari (Staff- DBDS) made the logistical arrangement for this event.
