847 MGL Disha Project: Financial Literacy Session in Masjid Bunder

Mumbai, 9-Nov-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a session on ‘Post Office Savings Schemes’ for women from low income group residing in Imamwada slum in Masjid Bunder. 45 women participated in this session which was organized under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Mr. Dinesh Dedhia and Mr. V.P Salve (Public Relation Inspector) from Mahim post office were the resource persons for the training. The session focused on the saving and investment behaviour of people. They explained various post office schemes such as Time deposits, Monthly Income Scheme, Public Provident Fund, Recurring deposits, Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana, National Saving Certificate, Kisan Vikas Patra etc. They urged the participants to save money and invest smartly so that they could have good returns from the investments. After the session Mr. Sunil Pandhare (Staff-DBDS) thanked everyone for participating in the program.
