979 MGL Disha Project: The Spirit of Corporate Social and Environment Responsibility Celebration

Matunga, 29-Jan-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) celebrated ‘The Spirit of Corporate Social and Environment Responsibility’ in partnership with Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL). Number of dignitaries from MGL attended the event: Sir Sanjeev Dutta (Managing Director), Sir Chakrapani Atmaker (Vice President- Human Resources), Ms Neera Asthana (DGM- Corporate Communication & CSR), Sir Sunil Rankhembe (Chief Manager), Sir Nishant Sinha (Senior Manager- CSR), MGL’s CSR Team and 247 beneficiaries of MGL Disha Project.

The program began with the traditional welcome of the chief guest and eminent dignitaries of MGL by the beneficiaries of the project. The MGL team then visited the exhibition of various items put up by the beneficiaries. The exhibition items included products made by the project beneficiaries such as Spices, Phenyl, Agarbatti, Hand wash, Garments etc. The event was formally inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by MGL team and garlanding the portrait of Don Bosco.


Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director-DBDS) welcomed the MGL team and felicitated them by presenting them a sapling with pot as a mark of gratitude towards the management of MGL. He expressed his sincere gratefulness towards the MGL team for their wholehearted support to the project.


A PowerPoint presentation depicting the various highlights of this project was presented – the outcomes of this project were well depicted through this presentation. Three beneficiaries of ‘Advance Skills Course in Beauty Care and Garment Designing’ shared their experience and achievements to the audience.


Top 40 students of ‘Advance Skills Courses’ who were selected on the basis of their performance, family’s economic condition, employment status, disability etc were presented ‘Beautician Kit’ and ‘Sewing machines with Stand, Motor and Peddle’. Sir Sanjeev presented the ‘Beautician Kit’ and Shri Chakrapani Atmaker presented the ‘Sewing machines with Stand’ to the winners. After the presentation ceremony Fr Rolvin thanked everyone for taking out time and gracing the event with their presence.
